Making an Offer
Our “Offer-to-Purchase” paperwork includes the terms of the sale, including financial obligations that the buyer and seller have agreed to, and a timeline for each of those obligations. Also included is a good faith deposit (which is placed in escrow), and purchase is subject to the sea trial and survey.
Test Drive
Many buyers want a sea trial before the boat purchase is finalized to make sure everything is running as advertised. Our founder, Kory Toone, is typically the one who arranges and performs the test drive. Cost for the test drive is the responsibility of the buyer.
Negotiation
Since we work with both buyers and sellers, it is important to keep both party’s interests in mind. We work as a middle-man to help make the transaction as smooth as possible.
Fund Transfers
All funds are managed through an escrow account. We also make sure that loan payoffs are made or other encumbrances are paid off at the time of the sale. This safeguard is one of the most important elements of a clean transaction.
